October is the time when Ovarian Cancer is acknowledged and fund raised for through the Frocktober campaign. We feel very honoured to sticky beak house peek this month into the beautiful home of Ovarian Cancer ambassador Letitia Linke.
In 2014, at age 34, Letitia was diagnosed with ovarian cancer which was followed immediately by a full hysterectomy. Two years of monthly chemo treatments commenced until recently when her oncologist stated that she could stop the chemo due to regular clear scans.
“The thing is Ovarian Cancer is not curable. I have another scan in three months time and that is always hanging over your head. My cancer will return it is just a matter of when” Letitia says.
In Australia one woman dies every ten hours from ovarian cancer.
The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation is working hard to support finding a cure and developing an early detection test for ovarian cancer. To find out more visit the OCRF.

When did you move to this house and why?
Eleven years ago we built this house on our farm. There was another house on the farm but it was too far gone to renovate. This block we chose to build on has a beautiful view over the valley and to the sea.
Have you always lived in the area?
Paul grew up on their family farm and I grew up in Adelaide. We met at Uni.
What was it about the house that sold you?
We loved the view and setting. We tried to build something that suits our lifestyle and that is timeless.
Have you made any changes to the house since moving in?
We have established a completely new garden and have put in a pool & pavilion.
What’s the best thing and worst thing about the house?
The best thing is the rural setting with so much space and a large garden. The worst thing is my beautiful French doors that don’t seal well so let a lot of dust in. (I still wouldn’t give them up though!)
How would you describe your style?
Modern Country Style, hopefully timeless!
Do you have a favourite furniture item or piece in your house?
Our black piano. It looks stunning and sounds amazing. I love my boys playing.
Are there any other renovations you would like to add or is the house now
complete?
The house is perfectly complete!
