IKEA is renowned for affordable furniture and home decor and with a new year comes a new catalogue with inspiration for very room. As we all know stylish pieces can also come in affordable pieces which is where IKEA steps in.
Before Christmas, I took a shopping trip to IKEA and like many others before me tried to give myself a budget to stick to. Now with pieces ranging from a couple of dollars to more high end, the budget could have been blown within minutes. See IKEA are smart…purposely making it hard to resist with every new section laid out like it is featured in a glossy home mag.
As a sashayed around the aisles I imagined each room laid out in my home. The pieces I didn’t need but could quite easily purchased just because they just looked so damn good. As it was, I was picking up tea towels, graters and cupboard lining just because they were cheap and would probably need to be replaced over the next five years!
I have to admit that if I wasn’t on bus trip, my purchases might have been larger and a little more than the allocated budget. It’s so easy to go crazy in IKEA so plan ahead. Head online to view their digital catalogue or if you prefer to paw over the hard copy catalogue from front to back whilst you are enjoying five minutes of mum time, you can order that here.
We have pawed that catalogue from front to back and have found some great IKEA pieces for your home for under $50.
